Tips for Making a Self-Introduction Video
Most schools in China require a self-introduction video before an interview. The quality of your self-introduction video can make or break your chance of getting a job interview. Here are some tips for you.
Very Important:
(1) Be formal or at least semi-formal. This will show that you have great respect for the video viewers. For example, please do not wear a collarless shirt for the video.
(2) Do not present yourself with a serious face especially when you make a self introduction video for a kindergarten teaching job. If you look serious in the video, you will have no chance to interview as kids do not like this kinds of teachers.
(3) Please do not shake your body or keep moving your body when you make the video.
(4) Please do not make a video while you are walking. This may suggest that you are not serious about the job.
(5) Please find a quiet and decent room or office with a nice or professional background for making the video.
(6) Please speak clearly and without your local accent. If you are applying for a kindergarten teaching job, this is especially and really important. Please speak a slowly as well.
(7) Please do not use too much gesture when make the video. Be natural.
(8) Please do not read from a script when make the video. You need to speak naturally.
(9) Please do not make a very long and big-sized video. Usually one or two minute-long videos are fine.

(4) Be likeable. This is especially important for you when you applying for a job teaching young kids. Primary schools or kindergartens prefer a teacher who is likeable and close to kids.
